Fish Monger

Start date: As soon as possible | Work schedule: Full-time, evening or week-end can be included| Job status: Permanent 

As a fishmonger, you will be responsible for assisting the manager of the butcher and fish department, regarding the management of reordering, the department operations, sales optimization, management of your team as well as customer service.

Your tasks will consist mainly of:

  • In collaboration with your department manager, you lead the supply and the go-to-market activities in order to optimize the quality of the product
  • Manage sales loss prevention
  • Supervise the work of your team
  • Cut, pack, weigh and label sea products
  • Place products daily to make them available to customers
  • Rotate inventory (product quality and freshness optimization)

  • Ensure the required temperature and storage conditions, as per MAPAQ directives
  • Ensure the overall cleanliness of the department (maintenance of equipment, displays and work area)

Required qualification and skills:

  • Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the fishmonger sector
  • Hold a secondary 5 diploma or equivalent
  • Having management experience is an important asset.
  • Have a sense of organization
  • Initiative and autonomy
  • Bilingualism
  • Polite and courteous
  • Availability and flexibility
